Our fully restored 1890s “Painted Lady” is conveniently located just east of Burlington and Lake Champlain on Vermont Route 15, in the heart of Smuggler’s Notch and Stowe ski country, facing Mount Mansfield.
We are also within a short driving distance of the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, the University of Vermont, Saint Michaels and Champlain Colleges, Boyden Valley Winery, and the Snowflake Bentley Exhibit, as well as the Vermont Teddy Bear and Ben & Jerry’s factories. Plus, we are in the middle of one of Vermont’s top-rated hiking, biking, antiquing, and fall foliage destinations.

Sinclair Inn Covid-19 Guidelines
All travel requirements to Vermont have been lifted. Visitors to Vermont no longer need proof of vaccination or testing. Those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to mask or socially distance themselves. Guests who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to mask or socially distance; however, masking and social distancing are still required in public areas, including the Inn, for those who remain unvaccinated.
We want to ensure all of our guests that during your stay with us, each of you is safe, healthy & well, and feels comfortable with the precautions we are taking to avoid contracting Covid-19.
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the inn for guest use. Your innkeepers (Tom & Dan) will also be wearing protective masks and social distancing.
In-stay housekeeping service is available upon request and our housekeeper will be wearing a mask and sanitizing hands before entering any room. All rooms will be thoroughly cleaned following Vermont Health Department and CDC guidelines before the next check-in arrives.
We are providing breakfast in the dining room with social distancing in mind. We will also be utilizing the space in our common areas (small and larger living rooms, and front porch & side deck – weather permitting) for additional breakfast seating so that we can accommodate almost everyone at the same time.
