April Showers bring May Flowers

Spring has officially arrived and there are lots of exciting changes happening at the Inn! Everyday new green surprises grow around our property. Because we moved in December, we literally have NO idea what beautiful flora and fauna we will see!

Over the winter months, we hung suet around the property to feed and attract the local avian community. The Sinclair Inn B&B sits on 3 acres of beautiful land including gardens and wetlands. The back lawn faces west and we have been enjoying spectacular sunsets with an orchestra of frogs and birds. Even the bats have returned! We are excited to create relaxing and inviting grounds for everyone to enjoy!

Our family loves being in nature, love gardening and LOVES eating produce! I’m already dreaming about sun ripe tomatoes and strawberry rhubarb pies. This year, our vegetable starts are coming from Jericho Settlers Farm. We have been taking advantage of the warm spring weather and preparing our raised beds for planting. Cassidy just loves playing in the dirt and helping her mom and dad!

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 6 chicks! You heard right… the Velvis family loves chickens! Chickens are a great addition to any farm. They eat vegetable scraps from the kitchen, till and aerate soil and are down right hysterical animals! This year’s flock are going to be named after Cassidy’s favorite puppets; Sesame Street!

We are excited for the busy summer ahead and all the new wonderful friends we will meet at the Inn! Make sure to follow The Sinclair Inn Bed and Breakfast for all the exciting garden and chicken pictures!
